About T.O. CranePrior to Mr. Crane’s work in private practice, he worked for the Federal Bureau of investigation for almost twenty years. He served as Supervisory Intelligence Analyst for the Birmingham division of the FBI, managing the Field Intelligence Group (FIG). Under his command, the FIG was a “one-stop shop” for the analysis and processing of raw intelligence gathered in the course of investigation of major FBI programs such as Counterterrorism, Foreign Counterintelligence, Cyber Crime, Public Corruption, Civil Rights, White-Collar Crime, and Violent Crimes. Mr. Crane insured that information was shared and disseminated to the intelligence community and federal, state, tribal, and local law enforcement agencies. Mr. Crane worked with many federal and state agencies to form the Alabama Fusion Center. Additionally, Mr. Crane’s previous assignments with the FBI included Asset Forfeiture Investigation, the Community Outreach Program, law enforcement training and the evidence program. Mr. Crane was a founding member of the Birmingham Division’s Evidence Response Team (ERT). As an ERT member, he was recognized as a crime scene and fingerprint science expert. In addition, he was loaned from the FBI to the Office of Independent Counsel to supervise document control and evidence collection for the Whitewater Investigation in Little Rock, Arkansas. He held this position for approximately 14 months. Mr. Crane has worked on many national and local high profile cases to include: the HeathSouth, Centennial Park Bombing, the Eric Robert Rudolph investigation, and the Civil Rights investigation of arson on local churches just to name a few. Mr. Crane is a Certified Police Instructor by the FBI and has trained hundreds of law enforcement and intelligence community members in the areas of crime scene investigation, information sharing, Suspicious Activity Reports, Crisis Management and many other related topics. He also served as an Adjunct Instructor for Wallace State College and Faulkner University for almost ten years. Mr. Crane holds a BS in Police Administration from Samford University and a MS in Public Safety from Auburn University at Montgomery.
